Yandex has temporarily canceled fees for Yandex Cloud and Yandex 360 until the end of October. Free access applies to all existing clients, not just those who experienced service disruptions. This includes both regular users and corporate clients.
In Yandex Cloud, no fees will be charged for all services in all Russian availability zones until the end of October. In Yandex 360, billing for virtual office tools will be suspended for this period.
However, services are currently operating with limitations. The company's engineers continue recovery efforts.
On the night of October 7-8, after a UAV attack, the data center in Sasovo was shut down — then the failure affected the ru-central1-b availability zone and some cloud services. On October 9, a similar incident occurred in Kaluga, and on the night of October 11, the Yandex data center in the Vladimir region completely ceased operations. According to the company, the facility was temporarily out of service due to infrastructure damage.
The service disruption affected the loading of media websites, electronic document management systems, and partner services. Yandex Cloud transferred some resources to emergency mode and recommended clients to use alternative recovery plans.
Previously, Yandex 360 transferred some functions to a commercial basis — from June 3, Disk synchronization on PCs became available only by subscription.
