In Russia, software that allows running familiar Android applications on devices with the domestic Aurora OS has been put up for sale. The technologies are being offered for almost 794 million rubles, although their developer – the Avroid company – went bankrupt just three years after its founding. The auction is scheduled for November 18.

The company's main asset is the Avroid Platform, which allows using Android applications on secure smartphones and tablets, including those intended for government agencies. It was valued at 339 million rubles. Another 200 million rubles account for Tavro – a special Telegram client for Aurora. Other Linux-based software solutions are also for sale.
The developer's problems began after a large contract. In 2024, the company received an advance of 780 million rubles for installing software on 270 thousand devices, but the contract was terminated, and the funds could not be returned. As a result, Avroid's debts reached 1.3 billion rubles. At the same time, for the entire year 2025, the company earned only 16 million rubles in revenue, and in June 2026, it was declared bankrupt.
Now the technologies may get a new owner. Experts believe that they can interest manufacturers of Aurora-based devices and large IT integrators. However, potential buyers may be deterred by the high price, especially considering that the developers of the Russian OS itself are working on their own support for Android applications.
