At the Ufa enterprise ODK-UMPO, students from the Moscow Aviation Institute and the Baltic State Technical University "VOENMEKH" named after D. F. Ustinov gained design skills. This was reported by the ODK press service.

Future engineers studied the technological processes of manufacturing parts and components for gas turbine engines. Mentors introduced students to the equipment and software used, and assisted them in solving engineering problems.
In addition to mastering new competencies, the students are learning about production culture, gaining experience from highly qualified specialists, and establishing professional connections.
ODK's key project is the ultra-powerful PD-35 for a future long-haul aircraft. The power unit has already received more than 2,300 parts manufactured using additive technologies.
Aviation expert Roman Gusarov explained that the PD-35 will be the pinnacle of domestic technologies, but its development is more complex than launching a rocket into space.
