On August 11, 2026, Russia supplied 1,000 tons of fuel to Abkhazia. The republic's Minister of Energy, Batal Mushba, stated that deliveries from the Russian Federation are systematic. The delivered resource will be distributed within Abkhazia.

Mushba assured that retail fuel prices will remain unchanged for now. Abkhazian authorities managed to purchase Russian fuel at a low price.

However, the minister warned that supplies are not infinite. If purchase prices change, this could subsequently affect the cost of fuel for consumers.

The republic's demand for gasoline has now increased by 2–2.5 times. As Mushba explained, this is due to the peak tourist season.

Currently, at least 1,500 tons of AI-92 and AI-95 gasoline remain in Abkhazia. However, large batches cannot yet be imported in full due to external circumstances.
