The fuel consumption of the new high-thrust PD-35 engine is planned to be 3-5% lower than that of modern foreign counterparts. This was reported by the ODK press service.

According to ODK, the noise level of the power plant is 17-20 decibels lower than ICAO international requirements.

Speaking of analogues, ODK refers to engines from two global giants - GEnx from American General Electric and Trent 1000 from British Rolls-Royce.

But the main advantage of Western analogues today is not the figures on paper, but the colossal flight time of millions of hours in real operation. The PD-35 today does not even exist as a full-fledged prototype.

Earlier, "Pervyy Tekhnicheskiy" compared the PD-35 and GE9X - the domestic unit lost with a score of 1:2.
