The engineering and scientific competencies of Bashkiria's enterprises and universities have enabled the creation of materials for the new high-thrust PD-35 engine that surpass foreign analogues. This was reported by the "Bashinform" publication.

Key scientific and production sites of the republic are involved in this technological chain: Ufa's ODK-UMPO and Ufa University of Science and Technology (UUNIT).

The heat-resistant alloys created in the republic for the prospective PD-35 engine surpass a number of foreign analogues. The technologies of Bashkir scientific teams are also used in Rosatom projects.

ODK noted that the PD-35 has already received more than 2,300 parts manufactured using additive technologies. These affect the strength and weight of the power unit.

Sergey Chemezov, head of Rostec, stated in December 2025 that the state corporation expects to receive type certification for the PD-35 within two to three years. There is no specific aircraft for it yet.
