Domestic manufacturers are capable of offering China unique components and assemblies for passenger liners, the supply of which was previously halted by Western partners. This opinion was expressed by the head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade, Anton Alikhanov.
According to him, the products will help Chinese partners resume the launch of Comac's narrow-body aircraft.
We are now the second country in the world that produces certain components and assemblies. And this is something that can be exported, something that can be traded, when other countries get a second guaranteed supplier.
Recall that China had to suspend the C919 project due to the cessation of engine supplies from the United States.
Aviation expert Roman Gusarov explained that the C919 belongs to the same class of liners as the Russian MS-21-310. The PD-14 engine for the MS-21 has already passed all tests and received certification.
