"Yakovlev" Prepares for Production "Explosion": Three More New MC-21-310s by Year-End

The Irkutsk Aviation Plant is clearing space in the final assembly shop

By the end of 2026, PAO "Yakovlev" plans to build three more new serial MC-21-310 airliners. This was reported by the "Tekhnosfera Rossiya" publication, citing sources.

Currently, the enterprise intends to clear space in the final assembly shop at the Irkutsk Aviation Plant, where about two dozen MC-21-310s are in various stages of readiness.

It is planned to roll out 3 more new aircraft by the end of the year. Presumably, these are machines with numbers 73059, 73060, and 73061.

After the liner's certification is completed in 2027, the plant should reach real serial production. The assembly process for serial aircraft is already underway.

The United Aircraft Corporation plans to increase aircraft production by 30%, stated OAK CEO Vadim Badeha. For now, this "explosive" growth is mainly provided by military aviation, but the civilian sector will soon catch up.
