"ODK - Perm Motors" Implements Smart Planning System for Engine Production

Automation of weekly tasks and transition to standard hours will accelerate the production cycle

"ODK - Perm Motors" is implementing the digital project "Impulse of Development 4.0", aimed at reducing technological cycles in aircraft engine production. According to Rostec, the system automates the formation of weekly shift-daily tasks and monitors their execution in real time.

Planning is being converted to standard hours with automatic assessment of plan feasibility. This allows identifying exactly where a part or assembly is idle between operations and promptly reallocating resources.

The project includes not only the Perm site but also ODK-Aviadvigatel, Proton-PM, as well as ODK-Kuznetsov, ODK-Saturn, and ODK-Salyut. For serial industrial engines GTU-16P, GTU-25P, and PS-90GP-25A, the testing schedules of several enterprises are synchronized.

According to Grigory Gorchakov, Head of Project Implementation Department at ODK-Salyut, the main reason for losses is insufficient attention to the organization of internal processes. Andrey Ushakov, Director for Production System Development at ODK-Perm Motors, added that the focus is on transparency and personal responsibility, so that any deviation from the schedule is immediately visible, rather than at the end of the month.

In essence, "Impulse of Development 4.0" integrates into the digital circuit what was previously based on dispatcher intuition and manual planning meetings. For the engine-building division, where the cost of downtime is a disruption of supplies to aircraft factories, this is a transition from reactive management to predictive calculation of machine and personnel load. The corporation's operational efficiency improvement program for 2026–2028 is specifically designed for such projects.
