The authorities of Yakutia are holding talks with Chinese airlines on the supply of aviation equipment due to delays in the production schedule of domestic aircraft. This was reported by the region's Minister of Economy, Pyotr Popov, during a government hour at the State Assembly of Yakutia.
According to him, there are problems with the existing aircraft fleet in the north of the country. Popov stressed that the deadlines for the rollout of new types of aircraft are being pushed back.
We have started negotiations with Chinese companies, and an agreement has been reached with Rosaviatsiya. If the talks are successful, we will be able to obtain aircraft certification.
On April 20, Russian Transport Minister Andrei Nikitin stated that the certification of the Il-114-300 will be completed within the next few months. He stressed that such airliners in Siberia and the Far East serve as public transport.
It is known that the first three Il-114-300 aircraft will be delivered to the Second Arkhangelsk Aviation Detachment. When the turboprop airliners will be supplied to regional carriers is unknown.
The certification of the LMS-901 Baikal light multipurpose aircraft may be completed in 2027, as noted by Deputy Head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade Gennady Abramenkov.
