The Irkutsk Aviation Plant (IAZ) has introduced a technology for manufacturing low-rigidity panels. The equipment allows for automatic installation of the skin, significantly speeding up the process.
The new technology was studied by specialists from the Irkutsk National Research Technical University.
Engineer Maxim Korzh clarified that the acquired knowledge and skills will help in the accurate manufacturing of aircraft skin panels.
The implementation of such plans will allow for faster mass production.
Previously, a modern high-tech treatment complex was put into operation at the IAZ site. It complies with Russian and international environmental standards. The plant produces MC-21-310 civilian airliners and Su-30SM fighters.
Also, the Irkutsk administration issued IAZ a permit for the construction of the second stage of a logistics center, the building area will exceed 1.2 hectares.
