PAO "Yakovlev" has completed the reconstruction and commissioning of a modern high-tech treatment complex at the Irkutsk Aviation Plant (IAZ) site. This was reported by the United Aircraft Corporation (OAK, part of Rostec).
The new complex was created to improve the environmental safety of production processes. It complies with all Russian and international environmental standards.
The commissioning of the complex will allow the electroplating production facility, which supports the manufacture of modern passenger aircraft under the MC-21 program, to operate without interruption.
The corporation added that the complex will ensure effective treatment and eliminate negative environmental impact.
The IAZ builds MC-21 passenger aircraft, Su-30SM2 fighters, and Yak-130 light attack aircraft.
