Uralvagonzavod has patented over 1000 industrial property objects in the last eight years. This was announced by the press service of the concern, which is part of Rostec.
Currently, UVZ also manages rights to more than 2000 intellectual property objects. One of the company's key tasks is to protect its developments, noted Roman Vasiyan, Deputy General Director for Legal Support.
This is a guarantee of the future not only for UVZ, but also our contribution to the formation of a scientific and technical reserve on the scale of the entire country.
Earlier it became known that the Ministry of Industry and Trade in 2015 allocated more than 100 million rubles to Uralvagonzavod for the development of new equipment. However, the stated goals failed to be achieved, after which the department filed a lawsuit against the concern.
Uralvagonzavod is a key manufacturer of T-90M "Proryv" tanks of the latest generation. Also in Nizhny Tagil, the deep modernization of previously produced T-72 and T-80 into T-72B3M and T-80BVM continues.
In addition, UVZ supplies modernized TOS-1A "Solntsepyok", BMPT "Terminator" and other popular weapons.
The company is also actively working on civilian products, and in December 2025 it released another batch of freight cars for major operators.
