The reason for the lawsuit was a contract concluded by the parties in June 2025. SMZ was to supply UEC-UMPO with a batch of magnesium ingots of the ML10 grade. This alloy is used in aircraft construction for the manufacture of highly loaded parts.

Initially, the buyer and seller agreed on the supply of a batch for 107.5 million rubles. SMZ delivered goods for 21.9 million rubles. According to the terms of the contract, UMPO was to pay within 30 days from the date of receipt of the ingots, but this did not happen.

The main products of UEC-UMPO are engines for Su-57, Su-35S and Su-27 fighters. The plant continues to increase personnel costs due to increased production capacity.
