The Ural Works of Civil Aviation (UZGA) will equip the LMS-901 "Baikal", TVRS-44 "Ladoga", and LMS-192 "Osvey" aircraft with modern domestic radio equipment produced by the Nizhny Novgorod R&D company "Prima". An optimal set of hardware was developed for each model, matching the type and purpose of the aircraft, as well as the technical and economic requirements imposed on them.
The LMS-901 "Baikal" and LMS-192 "Osvey" will receive modern serial VHF radio stations "Prima-MV". They provide reliable communication in the MF frequency range and comply with the qualification requirements of KT-160G/14G while maintaining an optimal balance of price, quality, and weight-and-size characteristics.
In addition, the "Osvey" will be fitted with the latest domestic internal communication and switching system, which is not inferior to foreign counterparts on aircraft of the same class.
To ensure communications in remote regions where there is no VHF coverage, both aircraft will be equipped with the "Prima-KV" HF radio station operating in the decameter wave band. On the "Osvey" it will be included in the basic configuration, while on the "Baikal" it will be offered as optional equipment.
The twin-engine turboprop passenger aircraft TVRS-44 "Ladoga" will receive a more comprehensive solution corresponding to the level of modern mainline aircraft. Its communications suite will include three digital VHF stations "Prima-DB", two "Prima-KV" HF radio stations, an internal communication system based on the TsIMS-A product, and the TsIMS-21 communications control module.
The "Prima-DB" radio stations and TsIMS-21 provide digital communications under the VDL2 standard and are integrated into the ACARS system. The use of digital communication channels on the "Ladoga" aircraft will simplify interaction between the crew and air traffic controllers and improve flight efficiency.
