The newest R-SAVER-1 surface robotic complex (unmanned boat) can be adapted to solve customer problems. This was stated by an official representative of the development company.
According to him, the R-SAVER-1 has an open control system configuration. The marine drone can strengthen the fleet of the operating country, becoming an inexpensive and effective means for performing special tasks.
The surface robot will be useful in the oil and gas industry, on which the economy of the Persian Gulf and Middle Eastern countries is based.
R-SAVER-1 application areas:
- inspection of underwater pipelines
- monitoring the operation of drilling platforms
- survey of oil product leak and pollution zones
- monitoring accidents on the water
- sampling, measuring water temperature and salinity
- shooting ships
- engineering surveys
- preparation for the construction of bridges and laying of cables
- combating poaching
- surveillance of ships
The R-SAVER-1 marine drone model was first presented at the Rostec stand at the World Defense Show 2026 defense exhibition in Riyadh. The state corporation did not specify which company developed the BEC. Among its advantages were payload capacity (up to 600 kg) and range (up to 800 km).
