The situation with aircraft spare parts blocked in the United States worth $500 million will not affect the operation of the domestic MS-21 aircraft. This was stated by the United Aircraft Corporation (OAK, part of Rostec).
The corporation emphasized that the flight test program is being carried out by aircraft equipped exclusively with Russian systems and units.
Since 2022, when the decision was made to create a fully import-substituted aircraft, the supply of foreign components for the MS-21 has ceased to be relevant and has lost practical significance.
In the spring of 2025, Industry and Trade Minister Anton Alikhanov stated that the United States did not allow the delivery to Russia of aircraft spare parts already paid for worth $500 million.
The Russian government insisted on receiving the components, as they are important for the functioning of the aviation industry.
