Kalashnikov Concern plans to significantly expand production capacity for civilian small arms in 2026 amid consistently high demand both within Russia and abroad. According to operational data, by the end of 2025 the enterprise exceeded its target sales indicators in all areas, surpassing the results of the previous year.
The concern's production achievements are driven by a comprehensive strategy for developing the civilian segment. Experts cite the development of new foreign markets as key growth drivers, as well as the modernization of the product line to meet international standards, in particular adaptation to widely used foreign-made calibers, including .308 Win, 9×19 mm Parabellum, and others.
Consumers are particularly interested in smoothbore hunting shotguns of the Saiga family and rifled self-loading carbines in various configurations.
Among the sales leaders are the TR3 semi-automatic carbine, created on the AK-12 technological platform with improved ergonomics and a Picatinny rail, as well as the time-tested Tiger and Saiga models in calibers ranging from .223 Remington to .308 Winchester.
The engineering solutions used in the civilian versions are partly based on feedback obtained during the operation of military models in real conditions. This has made it possible to increase mechanism reliability, improve ballistics, and optimize the design for the needs of civilian shooters.
At present, the enterprise's design and technology center is developing fundamentally new civilian small arms models taking into account the specific requests of potential foreign partners.
