The Nizhny Novgorod enterprise Gidromash increased production of landing gear for the MC-21-310 airliner by 14%, the company's press service reported.
The company noted that this concerns components for the MC-21 and the light replacement for the An-2 — the LMS-901 "Baikal".
The aircraft now have certification ahead of them, but we are practically at the finish line. For our part, we continue comprehensive preparation of our facilities at the plant for series production.
The plant is re-equipping its machine-tool fleet in accordance with the aviation industry development plan through 2030. In 2025, 15 units of equipment were acquired, and in 2026 another 11 will be purchased. At the same time, investment in modernization this year will exceed the 2025 level by 1.5 times.
The head of the Rostec state corporation, Sergey Chemezov, announced the key timeline — certification of the MC-21 is intended to be completed by the end of 2026.
