The TV7-117ST-01 engine was developed at the UEC-Klimov enterprise in St. Petersburg and received a type certificate in 2022. As part of planned certificate updates, operational characteristics were expanded, and the overall service life and service life of the main parts were increased. In 2025, the last restrictions on operation were removed, including the use of thrust reversal and operation under increased loads and maneuvers. The approval of the main change confirms the safe operation of the engine in difficult flight modes.

According to Evgeny Prodanov, General Designer of UEC-Klimov, the TV7-117ST-01 fully meets the requirements of the technical specifications of the Il-114-300 aircraft. The engine is already included in the current certificate of approval of the production organization, which allows the corporation to begin serial deliveries. In addition, maintenance of the TV7-117ST-01 has been prepared on the territory of Russia. At Wings India 2026, UEC is demonstrating all the capabilities of the engine to foreign partners.

The Il-114-300 aircraft with new engines passed flight certification tests in 2025. The experienced power plants have accumulated almost 3,000 hours in more than 400 flights. The TV7-117ST-01 turboprop engine features improved flight and operational characteristics and works with a modern low-noise AV112-114 propeller, providing thrust of up to 4 tons. In many parameters, the Russian power plant surpasses foreign counterparts.

The engine develops a maximum power of 3,100 horsepower at takeoff, features reduced fuel consumption and high manufacturability of operation. It is able to operate effectively at temperatures from -60 to +45 °C. The modernized digital unit BARK-65SM synchronizes the operation of the engine and propeller, increasing the overall efficiency of the aircraft.

Serial production of the TV7-117ST-01 will allow Russian aviation to equip regional aircraft with modern domestic engines, reducing dependence on imported components. For passengers, this means safer and more economical flights on domestic routes.

Earlier www1.ru reported that the Il-114-300 made a historic flight to India. The aircraft will debut at Wings India 2026.
