Russian aircraft engine TV7-117ST-01 outperformed Western counterparts in terms of characteristics

The power unit manufactured by UEC has increased power in take-off mode

Russian aircraft engines TV7-117ST-01 reliably worked during the flight of the Il-114-300 prototype aircraft. The United Engine Corporation (UEC) said that the power plant surpasses foreign analogues.

The power plant was certified in December 2022. TV7-117ST-01 exceeds foreign counterparts in terms of technical characteristics, has increased power in take-off mode and includes a new AV112-114 propeller having an increased thrust of 4 tons.

The ТВ7-117СТ-01 engine for the Il-114-300 aircraft was assembled from more than 8,000 parts. Engineers checked the geometry of each element. In its design, components created using additive technologies (3D printing) were used.

Features of the TV7-117ST-01 aircraft engine:

Increased take-off power, high fuel efficiency, FADEC-type digital automatic control system, self-diagnosis equipment, the presence of a digital twin, which allows for computational studies to optimize engine design.
