A welding control system with an accuracy of up to 80 microns has been implemented at the KAMAZ cab frame plant, which has been operating since 2019. This was announced by Maxim Kadakov, editor-in-chief of the magazine "Za Rulem".
Production is 80% automated, and each part undergoes strict flow control, and selective geometry verification is carried out on two Zeiss measuring supermachines.
Measurements are carried out using the contact method and laser scanning of surfaces, which makes it possible to identify even the slightest deviations at an early stage. The same laboratory controls the geometry of KAMAZ Компас medium-duty cabs, ensuring a uniform quality standard for all models.
