A court in Kemerovo has recovered over 800 thousand rubles from "DNS Retail" (DNS) for selling a faulty video card worth 293,999 rubles. This was reported by the United Press Center of the Kemerovo Region Courts.
The buyer contacted the service center in June 2021 and March 2024 with complaints about the malfunction, but the last repair was rejected allegedly due to violation of operating rules, while no specific violations were indicated.
The court recognized that the video card had critical manufacturing and operational defects and granted the claim for consumer protection.
Recovered: cost of the video card – 293,999 rubles, penalty – 300,000 rubles, compensation for moral damage – 5,000 rubles, fine – 299,499.5 rubles.
