Aircraft No. 64536 flew from Minsk to Kazan in 2 hours 11 minutes

The first production Tu-214 airliner in three years was accelerated to its maximum speed of 850 km/h during a flight from Minsk to Kazan. This was reported by analysts from the blog "Letaem vmeste".

The aircraft with tail number 64536 spent 2 hours 11 minutes in the air and climbed to a maximum altitude of 10,000 m.

During the night of December 26, the aircraft returned after painting to Kazan International Airport to complete the necessary customs and border procedures.

In mid-December 2025, the Kazan Aviation Plant (KAZ, part of Rostec's PAO "Tupolev") sent the first new Tu-214 into the sky 3.5 years after the adoption of the current version of the Comprehensive Program for the Development of the Aviation Industry. According to the document, by 2030 KAZ must build 115 such aircraft.

In addition, the Tu-214 with the latest domestically produced onboard radio-electronic equipment suite and components received a certificate of approval of the major change to the type design.
