Russia may produce eight Tu-214 aircraft in 2026. This was announced by the head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, Anton Alikhanov, in a conversation with journalists.
By 2027, the production of aircraft is planned to increase to 12 units.
20 units annually is the result we can achieve by the end of 2027. That is, from 2028, we will be able to fully reach this indicator.
The minister alsoreported that there are already a number of agreements with potential customers for the aircraft.
On Saturday (December 27), the Tu-214 with import-substituted componentsreceived approval from Rosaviatsiya for the main change to the standard design. The weather radar and warning system were produced by Honeywell, but now they are being developed in St. Petersburg.
