Russia's income from the sale of combat aircraft and aviation engines to China could exceed $20 billion. This conclusion was reached by Ivan Grachev, Chief Researcher at the Central Economics and Mathematics Institute of the Russian Academy of Sciences.
He drew attention to the fact that in this case, the total amount is comparable to the income from the supply of Su-30MKI to India, which he estimated at 12-15 billion dollars.
However, in the case of China, the Russian Federation also sold about two thousand aircraft engines and separately up to 800 power plants for heavy transport aircraft.
Once again, we note that the income from the supply and licensed assembly of aircraft is approximately the same as in the case of India, plus an additional $9 billion for engines.
Based on Grachev's calculations, it can be concluded that Russia's income from supplies to China amounted to about $20-24 billion.
Previously, Grachev drew attention to the fact that the Chinese industry successfully copied about 200 combat aircraft supplied from Russia and is now competing with the Russian Federation in third countries. He also cited India as an example, which was not noticed for reverse engineering.
