According to Bloomberg, Russia has delivered a large shipment of weapons to Madagascar, including modern FPV drones, small arms, and anti-tank missile systems. The information was confirmed by the Chairman of the National Assembly of Madagascar, Siteny Randrianasoloniaiko, who noted that the cargo was delivered by an Il-62M aircraft.
According to his statement, the aircraft carried 43 containers of military equipment. These included automatic rifles, sniper systems, guided anti-tank missile systems, as well as FPV drones, which are actively used in modern conflicts for reconnaissance and attacks.
It is noted that the deliveries are taking place within the framework of a bilateral intergovernmental agreement on military cooperation, signed by Russia and Madagascar back in 2018.
