The flight test of the MC-21-310 aircraft with Russian-made components was successful and without surprises. This was announced by Hero of Russia, test pilot of PJSC "Yakovlev" (part of the United Aircraft Corporation of Rostec) Oleg Mutovin.
As a reminder, the second prototype of the MC-21 aircraft with fully Russian systems began certification tests in late November and spent 1 hour and 15 minutes in the sky.
All domestically produced systems worked perfectly. According to the conclusion of the aircraft register test pilot, the characteristics are practically no different from the characteristics of the aircraft that passed the initial certification.
Mutovin added that after ferrying the aircraft from Irkutsk to Ramenskoye, a large complex of works was carried out on the aircraft to bring the systems into a "working" state.
Earlier, the head of the flight test and development complex of PJSC "Yakovlev" Dmitry Panchugin noted that the flight test program of the MC-21 aircraft was maximized.
Meanwhile, in workshop No. 249 at the Irkutsk Aviation Plant, work has begun on assembling the composite wing of the next set of MC-21 aircraft. Engineers are laying the on-board cable network, installing a complex control system, anti-icing and hydraulic systems, as well as an air extraction system.
