Roskomnadzor has restricted another resource in Russia. Now the FaceTime messenger has been blocked. It is used by users of Apple equipment. The reason is that, according to law enforcement agencies, the software is used in terrorist activities.
In the agency's commentary, it is emphasized that FaceTime is used to recruit perpetrators of terrorist attacks, commit fraudulent acts, or other crimes against Russians.
According to experts, FaceTime remained practically the only messenger after blocking calls in Telegram and WhatsApp, which allowed making audio or video calls without using circumvention tools.
