The "ODK-Saturn" enterprise in Rybinsk has implemented a new laser system for cutting aircraft engine parts. This was reported by the United Engine Corporation (ODK, part of the Rostec Group).
The company noted that the SLP520 series machine increases the precision and reduces the labor intensity of manufacturing elements.
With its help, "ODK-Saturn" performs complex contour cutting, small-sized hole piercing, and welding of parts.
The machine was created according to the technical specifications of "ODK-Saturn" at a factory in Zelenograd. Since the installation was implemented, the labor intensity of manufacturing holes and slots in a number of parts has decreased by more than 70%, and the production capacity has increased without losing the quality of processing.
"ODK-Saturn" is the main manufacturer of the ПД-8 engine for the SJ-100 civilian aircraft.
Meanwhile, the export version of the Su-57 with next-generation engines has already been shown online -АЛ-51Ф1 with a flat nozzle.
