Russia and India are discussing the option of transferring the export version of the Su-57E so that New Delhi can rely on Russian technologies in developing its own fifth-generation fighter. This was stated by the Russian Ambassador to India, Denis Alipov.
According to the diplomat, the parties are working intensively in several areas of military-technical cooperation. One of the key areas is the Su-57E platform.
The platform can be used to implement the Indian program to create its own fifth-generation fighter.
The Ambassador emphasized that military-technical cooperation remains one of the pillars of the strategic partnership between Moscow and New Delhi. The Indian army is 60-70% equipped with Soviet and Russian-designed weapons, which, according to him, have proven their effectiveness in real conditions.
The media reported that the Indian Air Force is considering the purchase of the Su-57 and the possible production of aircraft at local facilities. Roman Gusarov, editor-in-chief of the Avia.ru portal, explained that this deal could be beneficial for Russia.
Earlier www1.ru reported that the manufacturer of a key processor for combat aviation received a fine of 50 million rubles.
