Lada Largus may be subject to sales restrictions due to safety concerns. It is reported that the National Automobile Union sent appeals to Rosstandart regarding mass complaints about steering wheel jamming at low temperatures.
After the inspection, Rosstandart notified AvtoVAZ of the non-compliance of products with technical regulations and demanded additional tests.
Rosstandart noted that prior to the completion of the inspection, AvtoVAZ introduced a restriction on the sale of all Lada Largus vehicles. However, the model has not been withdrawn from sale at the moment.
The press service of AvtoVAZ stated that the company has not yet received new letters from Rosstandart and is preparing an official response to the request. "No prohibitions are contained in the document. Recommendations with a mechanism for eliminating and preventing the identified design feature have been sent to the dealer network", the company specified.
