At the Transcon enterprise in Tver, which is part of the KSK Group's climate division, the production of electric air heaters and fire dampers has been fully mastered. These devices are responsible for heat in the passenger compartment of transport in winter and preventing the spread of fire in the event of a fire, which makes them key elements of ventilation and heating systems.
Previously, the company purchased such components from third-party suppliers. Now the entire production cycle — from development to testing — is organized on an area of 150 m² in the KSK industrial park. The site is equipped with belt, drilling and grinding machines, as well as equipment for testing finished products.
Own production gives Transcon several advantages at once. Firstly, it is independence from external supplies. Secondly, reducing the assembly time of climate systems for trains, subways and special equipment. In addition, engineers can precisely configure the equipment to meet the requirements of a specific order, improving the quality and reliability of products.
Prototypes of electric air heaters and valves are already ready, and the next stage is certification tests. It is planned that in the future the site will produce up to 400 air heaters and 200 fire dampers monthly.
