All shells of the reactor vessel and the active zone casing have been delivered to the construction site of the innovative "BREST-OD-300" power unit in Seversk.
The final, fourth metal shell of the peripheral cavity of the fast neutron reactor unit with lead coolant and the inner casing of the core basket were manufactured at the plants of the "Rosatom" machine-building division.
Earlier, a metal shell of the central cavity of the reactor unit, as well as three metal shells of the peripheral cavity, were delivered to the Siberian Chemical Combine. The total weight of the products is more than 1000 tons.
Most of the equipment of the world's first fourth-generation power complex is planned to be installed this year.
Earlier, www1.ru wrote that in Seversk they finished installing the "steel heart" of the "BREST-OD-300" reactor.
