The «ODK-Saturn» enterprise (part of the United Engine Corporation of Rostec) demonstrated samples of parts of the newest PD-8 aircraft engine at the Yaroslavl Region Industry Week.
The company presented a fan blade and low-pressure compressor blades, which are made of titanium alloy.
Managing Director of «ODK-Saturn» Viktor Polyakov noted that the company is focused on cooperation with other companies.
As part of the congress and exhibition event, representatives of the «ODK-Saturn» enterprise exchanged views and best practices in the field of industrial cooperation and training of highly qualified specialists.
Currently, the development of the PD-8 is at the testing stage, certification is scheduled for 2025.
In 2025, six PD-8 engines were delivered for flight tests of SJ-100 prototype aircraft; currently, more than 50 test flights have been performed on two aircraft.
