"Rosel" (part of Rostec Group) has presented a new portable device for passive detection of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) — "Ogonyok." It is capable of intercepting video signals from enemy drones.
The device remains invisible to radar reconnaissance and has successfully passed testing. The principle of operation of "Ogonyok" is based on detecting the radio stream of UAVs and выделении video signals, which allows classifying drones of the FPV, DJI and Autel brands. This eliminates the risk of capturing false targets, such as Wi-Fi or LTE sources.
"Ogonyok" scans the surrounding space in all directions and records radio signals in a wide range of frequencies. At the same time, the enemy does not see the device.
The device is small in size and can be installed on the roof of even a passenger car. It is powered by a regular cigarette lighter. Any portable device with the Android operating system is used as the operator's display.
The product can be used both in the city and in open areas. Mass production of "Ogonyok" will be налажено in the near future.
Earlier www1.ru сообщал that a new Hermes MANPADS for protection against drones and helicopters выйдет for field tests.
