The Chemical Technology Cluster "Rosatom" has received the necessary certification for servicing and restoring brake discs made of carbon materials used in Russian MC-21 and Superjet 100 airliners. The press service of the state corporation announced the organization of a special unit at the institute, which fully complies with the requirements of the Federal Aviation Regulations.
Obtaining the certificate opens up the opportunity for us to carry out the necessary work with brake discs of domestic and foreign aircraft. This is our contribution to ensuring technological sovereignty and maintaining the stability of the functioning of civil aviation in Russia under sanctions pressure.
This opens up new opportunities for domestic aviation to reduce the cost of maintenance and repair of aircraft. Previously, when there was a need to restore or replace carbon brake discs, airlines were forced to turn to foreign suppliers, which entailed significant financial costs and dependence on external factors. Now, thanks to the competencies of the Rosatom cluster, it has become possible to quickly and efficiently resolve issues of repair and restoration of these important components of the brake system directly on the territory of Russia.
This unit is equipped with modern equipment, and all work is carried out by highly qualified professionals with exceptional experience in various fields. They have knowledge in both aviation and working with carbon materials.
