The Russian Federation has been developing an electromagnetic complex codenamed "Alabuga," which continues to cause concern among potential adversaries of our country. Military observer Yuri Knutov provided more detailed information on this issue.
In the past, we wrote about a cruise missile with an electromagnetic warhead, the Alabuga project. It is capable of producing an electromagnetic pulse that disables electronics. The probability of testing such a weapon exists, but it is unreliable.
The development of the Alabuga system was first mentioned in 2014. It was reported that this weapon is something like a missile equipped with a powerful high-frequency electromagnetic radiation generator as a warhead. It was assumed that all military equipment within range would be disabled and rendered unusable.
In 2017, information emerged that the Alabuga project was still under development, but this name referred to a complex of research works defining key areas for the development of weapons in the field of radio electronics. After these studies, the project was classified as a critical technology with the highest level of secrecy.
Earlier www1.ru reported that an unfulfilled hope or a potential that can still be realized — the mystery of Il-276.
