The development of a digital assistant-researcher based on artificial intelligence (AI) is starting in Russia. It is designed to significantly speed up the process of scientific research and simplify the verification of hypotheses. Deputy Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation Andrey Omelchuk spoke about this initiative at the plenary session of the international forum Kazan Digital Week.
Innopolis University, known for its achievements in the field of AI, has taken on the task of creating this innovative tool. Omelchuk noted that this assistant will not only help in verifying existing hypotheses, but also contribute to the выдвижению of new ideas, which can significantly speed up the cycle of scientific research.
The project is part of a broader initiative to create a digital platform for the scientific community, which combines research data, experts from the Russian Academy of Sciences (RAS) and business orders. In the future, it is planned to introduce specialized government services for scientists.
