A truly unique Soviet automobile has appeared for sale on one of the online classifieds platforms: the Start minibus. This particular model was used in the film "Kidnapping, Caucasian Style." It is specifically stated that the vehicle for sale belongs to the same series, but there is no information about its specific involvement in the filming. The cost of this rarity is 26 million rubles.
The minibus was created on the basis of the GAZ-21 Volga in the 60s and was produced for only 7 years, from 1963 to 1970, at the Lviv Bus Plant. Most of the small batch of 150 units was used by the Central Television of the USSR as equipment for film crews.
The main feature of the Start was its fiberglass body and a 75 hp, 2.5-liter engine from the Volga. Despite its modest characteristics, the minibus was advanced for its time, and its futuristic design favorably distinguished it from other representatives of the Soviet minibus fleet.
