BELARUS tractor assembly production will be built in Algeria. The contract for the supply of the first three units of agricultural machinery was signed by Sergey Avramenko, General Director of OJSC "MTZ". This was reported by the press service of the Belarusian enterprise.
The issue of tractor assembly has been under consideration since the spring of 2025. In April, Avramenko met with the head of the Ministry of Agriculture of Algeria, Youcef Cherfa. The parties discussed the supply of BELARUS 152 tractor kits.
BELARUS tractor assembly production in Algeria was established in 2011. More than 500 tractor kits were delivered to this country until 2015.
According to Avramenko, MTZ is interested in resuming the project. Belarus and Algeria also considered organizing the assembly of 800 series tractors with the prospect of supplying them to third countries.
