Russians should not expect a new domestic wide-body aircraft in the near future, because a lot of time will pass between the initial stage with the patent and the real aircraft. This was stated by aviation expert, industry specialist Roman Gusarov.
According to him, any new aircraft does not even start with a project. First, there must be a concept and sketches, it is necessary to determine the dimensions and layout in which the future aircraft can meet the tasks assigned to it.
And only then, based on all this, a decision is made: yes, we will design such an aircraft, it is needed, it makes sense to allocate money for it - by the way, very large. Between the initial stage and the real aircraft there is a distance of enormous size.
If there are any developments that it makes sense to patent, the industry expert emphasized.
Earlier www1.ru reported that 14 SSJ-100 aircraft were found to have flaws in the fuselage design.
