Rostec is ready to supply Russian aircraft engines to China, according to Sergey Chemezov, General Director of the state corporation, amid reports of the U.S.'s intention to stop supplying engines for the COMAC C919 aircraft.
He recalled that the MS-21 and SJ-100 programs initially planned for global cooperation with the participation of the United States, Japan, and Europe. However, due to sanctions, the Russian Federation began to "turn off" the supply of electronics, engines, and composite materials.
The situation in which our Chinese colleagues find themselves is well known to us. If we receive such a request from them, we will definitely respond and offer effective solutions.
The head of the state corporation recalled that Russia will have a full line of aircraft engines — PD-14, PD-8, and the most powerful PD-35 is not far off.
