The Arbitration Court of Moscow has partially granted T-Bank's claim against the American Citibank and its Russian subsidiary — JSC CB "Citibank" — for the recovery of funds.
Initially, Rosbank was the plaintiff, but after its merger with T-Bank, the procedural right was transferred to the latter, and now T-Bank is considered the plaintiff in the case.
The exact amount that the court ordered to be recovered is not disclosed, but the initial amount of the claims was $27.4 million.
Earlier, in September 2023, the Arbitration Court of Moscow had already granted Sovcombank's claim against the same defendants for $24 million. In that case, the reason was the freezing of Citibank's funds due to the imposed US sanctions, and the debt was the balance on transactions after offsetting.
