Rostec to fix "flaws" in Ansat: helicopter's flight range to be increased

The state corporation will also work on the maneuverability and take-off weight of the rotorcraft

Rostec continues to work on improving the Ansat helicopter, the head of the state corporation, Sergei Chemezov, said at a working meeting with Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin.

Chemezov recalled that the company had created the domestic VK-650V engine, which will replace foreign ones and will also be used for Mi-34 helicopters.

The helicopter's flight characteristics will improve: range and speed, take-off weight will increase, and maneuverability will increase.

Flarit Mavletkulov, General Director of the Kolyma Aviation airline, stated that carriers would be cautious about offers to purchase Ansat.

In his opinion, today the helicopter is of no value without additional fuel tanks: without them, the guaranteed range is 400 km, with them - 550.

Earlier www1.ru reported that the rate of supply of Su-57 fighters to the Russian Aerospace Forces has increased.
