The Plenipotentiary Representative of the President of Russia in the Siberian Federal District (SFD), Anatoly Seryshev, paid a working visit to the Irkutsk Aviation Plant on Wednesday, July 30.
Seryshev inspected the workshops where the promising domestic airliner is being assembled and held a working meeting with the head of the enterprise.
The Plenipotentiary Representative also visited the innovative logistics center, which concentrates all the components for the assembly of MC-21 aircraft. The task of the center is to increase labor productivity and optimize labor costs.
We need to develop domestic aircraft construction to ensure reliable communication between the regions of our country, independent of foreign manufacturers of airliners.
He added that it is necessary to comprehensively support aircraft construction enterprises and create all conditions for their successful operation.
