The staff of the Belarusian NPP (BelNPP) has connected the second power unit of the station to the grid after restoring the operation of the generator cooling system, the Ministry of Energy of Belarus reported.
The department informed about the shutdown of the second unit of the station on July 16. The reason was the triggering of an alarm due to a deviation in the operation of the non-nuclear part of the unit — the generator cooling system.
The Ministry of Energy emphasized that the situation was normal and did not pose a threat to the safe operation of the nuclear facility.
The second power unit of the Belarusian nuclear power plant has been connected to the grid after the completion of technological operations to restore the operation of the generator cooling system. Currently, the unit is operating at its nominal capacity.
