Deliveries of PD-8 engines for serial import-substituted Russian Superjet aircraft are scheduled to begin in the spring of 2026, according to the head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, Anton Alikhanov.
According to him, the power plant will be officially certified by the end of this year.
All certification tests are underway. And next spring, deliveries will begin for serial machines.
Rostec also noted that the serial production of the PD-8 engine for the domestic Superjet 100 aircraft is scheduled for 2025.
The United Engine Corporation (UEC, part of Rostec) stated that they are fully ready to start serial production of PD-8 aircraft engines. In 2025, it is planned to produce four serial copies of the power plant.
