In the fall of 2025, India will solemnly decommission the Air Force of the Republic's Soviet-designed MiG-21 supersonic front-line fighters, which have served for more than 60 years.
The farewell ceremony for these machines will take place on September 19 at Chandigarh Air Base. The event will be attended by senior Air Force officials and veterans who have been associated with aviation for many years. Exhibitions and air shows are planned in honor of this event.
МиГ-21 — the most common supersonic aircraft in history, also the most massive 2nd generation fighter, the military nickname is «Dove of Peace».
The media reported that India may abandon the Russian fourth-generation Su-35 fighters in favor of the fifth-generation Su-57, as it will gain full control over the technology of the latter.
Earlier www1.ru reported that the "brains" of the latest Su-57 fighters became known.
