The United Aircraft Corporation (UAC) and the Ministry of Industry and Trade need to consider manufacturing components for private business jets, according to Andrey Zhukovsky, Associate Professor at the Department of Strategic and Innovative Development of the Financial University under the Government of the Russian Federation.
According to him, this is a highly profitable market segment in civil and military aircraft construction. Mastering the technologies for producing business jets for business circles and foreign customers will be a huge step forward and a wide window of opportunity, the associate professor believes.
Technologies for modern passenger cabin equipment with a small number of passengers, in which the duration of flights can be enormous — up to 15,000 km between cities, will play a significant role.
Zhukovsky recalled that the company "Bureau 1440" is mastering the technology of satellite Internet on aircraft, and "Aviation Interiors" has developed modern interior modules for aircraft.
This is a very important and positive signal specifically for related industries and increasing the component base in the serial production of domestic aircraft.
